Eldri hluti hússins var reistur árið 1935 eftir uppdráttum Árna Pálssonar. Árið 2001 var það lagfært og fært í upprunalega mynd eftir teikningum Glámu-Kím.
Áratug síðar fengu eigendur hússins stofuna aftur til samstarfs til að teikna byggingu aftan við eldra húsið. Viðbyggingin er tvílyft á þremur pöllum. Einlyft bygging tengir tvo hluta heimilisins saman. Við hönnun og útfærslu síðari áfangans var hugað að stærð og hlutföllum eldra hússins samhliða nútímalegu yfirbragði nýbyggingarinnar.

Renovation and addition.
2001 and 2012
An addition to a modest wooden house constructed in 1935.
Initially in 2001 the client requested the existing building be restored to it’s original form; wooden frame construction and corrugated steel cladding. Attention to detail and workmanship were of prime concern.
In 2012 the client approached the office again wishing for an addition to be placed towards the back of the house. The site governs a view of the City Park of Laugardalur and the city burroughs beyond.
The new addition was designed as a counterpoint to the original building, modern in articulation but respectful of scale and proportion.
