Islandsbanki Bank

In recent years, Glama-Kim has redesigned the interiors of existing Islandsbanki hf. branch offices and planned new branches. The goal has been to create a clear and comprehensive look for the branches, which emphasises the service and image of Islandsbanki hf.

The Islandsbanki branch at Laugavegur 116 is in a building designed by the architect Gunnlaugur Halldorsson, in the spirit of the “Modern Movement”. The new image of the branch takes this into account. The new façade is glass in an aluminium frame, flush with the front elevation. Within it is the lobby, automatic teller machine, and the large window of the service area. The windows are made as large as possible to increase the visibility and transparency of the branch. The planning of the service area is simple and rational. The cashiers are at the front of the space while personal service advisers are placed further back to ensure a more private, quiet interaction.

Glama-Kim also designed the interior of the Islandsbanki branch in Smaralind shopping centre in Kopavogur. The design of this branch is influenced by its being inside a large shopping mall and the use of materials is in keeping with its surroundings. Untreated concrete walls are dominant; they form a backdrop for the interiors and affect the choice of materials. As much use as possible is made of the floor to ceiling height. The service and sales representatives are situated near to the hub of the shopping centre and are easily visible from the main concourse.

Íslandsbanki

Undanfarin ár hefur Gláma-Kím unnið að endurinnréttingu útibúa Íslandsbanka hf. og skipulagningu nýrra. Markmiðið er að skapa útibúunum skýrt og heildstætt yfirbragð sem samræmist áherslum Íslandsbanka hf. í þjónustu og ímynd.

Útibú Íslandsbanka að Laugavegi 116 er í húsi sem Gunnlaugur Halldórsson arkitekt teiknaði í anda „nytjastefnunnar“. Ný ásýnd útibúsins tekur mið af þessu. Framhliðin er glerjaður álrammi í sama fleti og útveggur. Í álrammanum er anddyri, hraðbanki, og stór gluggi að afgreiðslusalnum. Leitast er við að hafa gluggafletina sem stærsta til að auka sýnileika og gegnsæi útibúsins. Fyrirkomulag afgreiðslurýmisins er einfalt og rökvíst. Gjaldkerar eru fremst í rýminu en þjónustufulltrúar innar til að tryggja þeim meiri ró.

Einnig var innréttað nýtt útibú í verslunarmiðstöðinni Smáralind í Kópavogi. Yfirbragð þess tekur mið af því að það er staðsett inni í stórri verslunarmiðstöð. Efnisnotkun er í takt við aðstæður, steinsteyptir veggfletir eru áberandi, þar sem steypan stendur ómeðhöndluð og myndar bakgrunn fyrir innréttingar og mótar efnisval. Lofthæð er nýtt til hins ítrasta. Þjónustu og sölufulltrúar eru staðsettir nær hringiðu verslunarkjarnans og eru vel sýnilegir frá aðal gönguæð kjarnans.
